Mimics 3: Flat TV

This is an old seires that I made last year and never got to upload. Im realy happy with the results, so I wanted to share It.

This is a series of five illustrations, based on  everyday objects associated with the consumer society. This can be items which display some brand of a product, or they are advertisements in themselves.

These objects are modified so that they acquire monstrous features, such as sharp teeth, reptilian eyes, long tongues, insect legs, etc. In some of these illustrations, objects will be seen interacting with humans, and they are seen displaying parasitic or invasive behavior. However the humans display no emotion, as if they are mundane items.

This series criticizes the invasive and manipulative nature  of advertising, making its physical appearance reflect its true intentions.

For this one I decided to make his eye red and watery, representing the eye damage suffered by people who stare at a screen for too long.
